XAU/USD: Bearish Trendline Keeps Sellers in Control
Analysis
Gold remains under bearish pressure after rejecting the descending trendline and failing to reclaim the key resistance zone around 4,050–4,060. Price is currently testing a short-term demand area, where a temporary bounce is possible.
However, as long as price stays below the trendline and the Fair Value Gap (FVG), sellers maintain the advantage. A rejection from the FVG could trigger another bearish leg toward 4,000, with 3,950 acting as the next major downside target.
A bullish scenario would require a strong breakout above the descending trendline to invalidate the current bearish structure and shift momentum back to the upside.
Key Levels
🟥 Resistance: 4,050 – 4,060
🟩 Support: 4,000 – 4,010
🎯 Bearish Target: 3,950
Market Outlook
The short-term outlook remains bearish while price trades below the descending trendline. Watch for price reaction around the FVG and resistance before expecting the next impulsive move.
