Apple at Highs Not a Breakout Yet (Effort vs Result Anomaly)

Hello Traders & Trading Community šŸ‘‹

Hope you all are doing great and staying disciplined in this market. Sharing my detailed view on the chart based on higher timeframe structure, combining price action, key zones, and volume behavior to understand what the market might be preparing for next.

At the current stage, the price is trading near a crucial resistance area after a steady upward move. Structurally, this looks like a range formation just below resistance, which often acts as a buildup phase before a bigger move either a breakout or a rejection.

Now, the recent price action around the top is very important. What we are seeing here is not a confirmed breakout, but rather a breakout attempt / possible bull trap. Price briefly moved above resistance but failed to sustain, and this is where the volume adds an important layer to the story.

We can clearly observe an Effort vs Result anomaly (Volume ↑, Breakout āŒ) — volume increased significantly, showing strong participation, but price failed to deliver a clean breakout. This kind of behavior often hints that supply is active at higher levels, and smart money might be distributing positions rather than aggressively pushing price higher (at least for now).

Coming to the most important area on the chart the green zone, which can act as a decision zone. This zone will likely decide the next directional move.

Bullish Scenario-:
If the price respects this green zone, holds above it, and shows strength (acceptance), then there is a strong probability that the hazardous resistance gets broken. Once that level is taken out with proper acceptance, the price can expand towards the measured move target.

Based on the structure, a 14% projected move can be anticipated, and out of that, we can logically consider 7% as the first target (half of the full move) for a more conservative and practical approach

Bearish Scenario-:
If price fails to hold this decision zone and breaks it with weakness, it would signal that demand is not strong enough, and in that case, price can slide towards the lower support areas around 255/245 zone. These levels can act as downside targets and potential demand zones where the price may again react

Overall, this is not a prediction-based setup but a reaction-based opportunity. The market is currently at a key inflection point where both sides (buyers and sellers) can get trapped. That’s why confirmation is more important than anticipation here.

Patience at such levels often makes the biggest difference.

Final Thought:
Not a breakout yet just a decision point where the next move will define the trend.

Thanks for reading, mates!
Regards- Amit.
