The macro narrative heading into this week is heavily tied to lingering rate-path discussions following the late-August economic data and shifting central bank expectations 🏦. Interestingly, general online sentiment is leaning quite bullish, driven by persistent spot ETF inflows and corporate accumulation chatter. However, with market participants widely anticipating a break into higher expansion, this crowded retail sentiment often creates the ideal backdrop for a sharp liquidity hunt before the true directional move takes hold.
Looking at the H1 timeframe, we see a clear high-volume balance area anchored between $79,000 and $80,000, representing fair value in terms of Auction Market Theory 📈. Retail consensus across social forums is aggressively calling for an immediate breakout toward $82,000+. Yet, from a Wyckoffian perspective, the recent dip toward $77,200 looks like an accumulation spring, followed by a local markup phase that is now consolidating right around the Point of Control (POC).
Key Zone: Price is currently hovering right around the composite POC node near $79,700–$79,880, bounded by Value Area High (VAH) at $80,400 and Value Area Low (VAL) near $78,850 📉.
We are currently sitting in the middle of this high-volume value node, where two-way trade is balanced 🧹. My focus is entirely on a pristine “Break of Structure (BoS) and Retest” execution off this defined volume range. I am looking for Bitcoin to decisively break above this value range on the volume profile, return to retest it as new support, and hold firmly above the anchored VWAP while respecting the previous higher lows. If price breaks beneath any of those structure points or falls back below the VWAP band, I will abandon the trade setup entirely.
My Trade Plan 🎯
Bias: Long (Patience required for the BoS & retest confirmation).
Entry Protocol: Wait for an hourly impulse candle closing above the upper value area bound ($80,400+), followed by a controlled retest of the top-of-range value node that holds strictly above VWAP. My line in the sand is the recent swing low cluster near $78,800—any break below invalidates the setup.
