Sometimes, a chart is more than just a chart.
If we look at it too quickly, we may see nothing more than a few candles moving up and down.
But if we slow down…
another question begins to appear:
What exactly is the market building?
On the 1H Gold chart, the recent move from the 4,697 high has created a meaningful bearish structure, while the market is now developing a movement that has not yet revealed its final answer.
We can follow a bullish scenario, where the current correction comes to an end and price begins reclaiming the key levels shown on the chart, eventually developing an impulsive structure toward the previous high.
But another scenario remains on the table.
If the market fails to reclaim the key levels and moves below important support, what currently appears to be the end of the correction may instead be only part of a larger structure.
And this is exactly where the Elliott Wave Principle becomes interesting to us.
We are not asking:
“Will Gold go up or down?”
Our question is:
“Which structure is developing?”
If the market is bullish, we should be able to see it through price behavior and wave structure.
If it is bearish, the market should reveal that itself.
We do not need to believe in either scenario beforehand.
We simply need to let the structure decide.
Perhaps this is what Elliott was searching for all those years ago while studying market charts:
Not to guess the future…
but to learn how to read what the market is building.
For now, there is no final answer.
Only a few important questions remain…
Has the correction ended?
Can the next movement prove its impulsive character?
Or does the market still need another move lower?
We do not predict.
We wait for the structure to speak for itself.
Patterns whisper. I listen.
