Turtle Beach Corporation (TBCH), a gaming accessories manufacturer best known for its headsets, has been named the Bear of the Day. The company’s earnings revisions deteriorated sharply following a disappointing second-quarter earnings release on August 6.
The gaming accessories standout’s recent downward earnings revision trend has earned it a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell) and extends a stretch of negative developments that began in early 2025.
Should Investors Stay Away from Gaming Stock TBCH?
Turtle Beach is a video gaming accessories company recognized for its popular gaming headsets compatible with Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, PCs, and mobile devices. In recent years, the company has broadened its product lineup to include controllers, keyboards, flight and racing simulation gear, and other gaming peripherals.
TBCH has primarily struggled with soft demand across the broader gaming accessories market. The company’s sales declined 14% in 2025, marking its second year-over-year revenue drop in the last four years.
Perhaps more concerning, its GAAP earnings appear to have peaked as far back as 2018, and its adjusted earnings fell 25% year-over-year in 2025. The gaming accessories firm’s fiscal year 2026 earnings estimate has dropped 30% since its release, declining from $0.71 per share to $0.50, while its fiscal year 2027 outlook is 19% lower.
TBCH’s adjusted earnings are projected to fall another 40% year-over-year in 2026. The stock has declined 55% over the past five years, a period during which the S&P 500 climbed 80% and its sector soared 100%.
